Features of SumiRiko

SumiRiko produces bridge seismic isolation rubber used in Japan's earthquake-prone highways and bridges. They hold a significant market share in anti-vibration rubber for railway vehicles used in Shinkansen and trains. The company is known for maintaining public transportation and infrastructure domestically and internationally. Additionally, they are involved in various sectors, including transport equipment and medical and healthcare fields.

Technology at SumiRiko

SumiRiko's decorative formwork "Moldstar" allows direct application of materials to concrete. It is available in single-use special styrofoam and reusable urethane options, used in various sites. The custom formwork "Free Moldstar" does not require mold creation, enabling small-lot production. The embedded formwork "Patwall and D-Wall" is lighter and easier to install than traditional formwork, helping address workforce aging issues. The wash-out formwork "Washstar" can add contrast and design to concrete, blending with the surrounding landscape.

Construction Examples and Applicable Structures

The Yokosuka PA project used decorative formwork "Moldstar" for its formwork, finishing with painting after demolding. The wood grain pattern exterior blends naturally with the surrounding forest landscape.
